The answer to ‘who are you?’ is never 100% concrete with Provocation Films, but as we speak the backbone of PF is founder Simon Dempsey together with some very generous and gifted friends! Simon is a producer/editor working in industry for some 8 years. PF has become a separate outlet for the production of films carrying a specific subject matter and, in most cases, not off a strictly commercial nature.

Very early on, Provocation Films attracted some incredible and talented people to help produce the debut film, No Bright Lights. Just a few a mentioned below...

Simon Dempsey

As a producer/editor Simon has led the direction of story for Provocation Films. Simon loves nothing more than to saturate himself in a situation and context in order to seek out a story that is obvious, or not so obvious, which makes for a fascinating viewing. Adam Glynn-Finnegan

Adam was involved in art direction on location and graphics in post-production and we are indebted to his contribution to the recent film.

Paul Mcauly

Paul is affectionately known as ‘Mackers’ to the PF team. Paul was an invaluable part of the production crew for the No Bright Lights production from initial conceptualisation and creative brainstorming, right through to location interviews - extracting fantastic content from many subjects in the film. Vanessa James
